This weekend prominent names are in the starting list for the jumping course and the dressage ring which will dominate the AWD Dome in Bremen. The premium sport with top-class competitions like the Meggle Champions in dressage and the Masters League in show jumping attract many international stars. In 2009, Rolf-Göran Bengtsson won the euroclassics, but it wasn't an easy battle. The very young British rider Ellen Whitaker presented two courageous and exemplary rounds and was pipped and, therefore, just ranked on 2nd place. If the youngster of the British “equestrian family”will succeed this year and bring a victory back home that remains to be seen. But one thing's for sure: No matter if it's the Championship of Bremen, the Team Trophy or the Grand Prix of Senate of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen - it will be ridden ambitiously and with a great effort. Bremen's euroclassics will be, also in 2010, a highlight for the equestrian sport. The euroclassics shall remain trend-setter, like in February 2008, when the organizer took the initiative and implemented voluntarily additional doping controls.
