Preselection for the main licensing of riding horses 14th-17th of October 2014
303 colts face the Licensing Committee
Every year in early October, the future stallions present themselves in front of the Licensing Committee. This year, 303 two and a half year old colts will be inspected by the Committee. Only the best of them receive the approval to compete at the main licensing.
All a lot of attention will be drawn to the stallions who present their first crop this year. At this year’s preselection the following stallions present their first offspring: A la Carte NRW / Champion Stallion (5), Captain Cooper / Showjumping Winner (2), Captain Jack (2), Chin Win (1), Conen (5), Daily Deal / first Reserve Champion (1) v., Diamond Hit, Desiderius L (2), Don Juan de Hus / 2nd Reserve Champion (1), Francis / premium stallion (8), Jazzmate (3), Los Angeles (4), Sir Henry (5), Spirit of Westfalia (1) and Valeron (3).
With 17 colts, the Vivaldi son Vitalis presents himself. He was the reserve champion at the main licensing in 2009 and was sold to America.
Overall, there is a good mix between the Westphalian breeding area as well as other German and European breeding areas.
All the colts will be presented on hard ground, free jumping and the walking ring. Only those who are able to convince the licensing committee here will receive the approval to attend the main licensing.
