Top vaulting riders compete for the coveted medals in both single and group contests. The incumbent world champion of the senior groups is present at the start. It is VV Ingelsberg from Germany. Suspense runs high especially during the men's competition. Performance levels are especially close in this group. Kai Vorberg (Germany), Patric Looser (Switzerland), Nicolas Andreani (France) and Daniel Kaiser (Germany) will certainly bring a lot of suspense to this competition. A new hand will be dealt in the ladies' game after the retirement of Nicola Ströh, the incumbent world champion from Germany, and of European champion Sissi Jarz (Austria). After her victories in Wiesbaden and Aix-la-Chapelle, Joanne Eccles from Great Britain will travel to Sweden as a clear favourite for the title. For the second time, medals will also be awarded at the junior level. Considering the outcomes of the tournaments held so far, vaulting riders from Germany and Austria are expected to have the best chances for winning medals. But, of course, there may still be one surprise or another. A championship in double vaulting will be held for the first time. Everything is open in this respect, as there has been no contest in this discipline so far. Let us wait and see who will be the front runner after two rounds. ClipMyHorse.de will broadcast this event live from 29 July 2009 to 02 August 2009. This provides an opportunity to see the event to all those who may not come to the place or who are only present for some time.
