Over 3200 participants from all over the world and more than 60,000 expected visitors – with these numbers the 5th Horse Show from 20th to 25th April will be the biggest show that the club of Massener Heide organises. At the same time it's a signal for many further ambitious projects at one of the biggest equestrian sites of Germany in the future.
In only 5 years the equestrian centre Massener Heide established nationally as siginificant equestrian site. Up to now, 18,5 million Euro were placed in the development and equipment of the centre. The site of 15 hectares offers now the latest standards, like automatic horse walkers, iPod stations and horse solaria.
“With the ultimate completion and the big opening ceremony in June, the equestrian centre Massener Heider is well-prepared to organise once the Westphalian or German Championships in the future”, said Thomas Wiese, 1st chairman of the equestrian centre. “ But at first we look forward to our this year's April Horse Show. The great interest in advance and the overwhelming number of registrations show us that we're on the right track.
Visitors of the 5th Massener Horse Show can look forward to top-class dressage and show jumping. And beside advanced level classes there will be three other highlights in the program on Saturday and Sunday: The qualifying for the Bundeschampionat of German Dressage Horses (5- and 5- year-old horses), the qualifying for the German and Westphalian Championships of Youngsters in show jumping and the qualifying for the Warsteiner Equestrian Support 2010.
The entrance is free. And beside the equestrian events the visitors will be expected by a colorful social program: tasty cake and grill delicacies, numerous attractions for kids and a shopping mile flanked by luxury sport cars. Special thanks go to about 100 volunteers who performed more than 10,000 working hours during the show and the preparatory stage for horses, riders and visitors. Only their engagement makes this show possible.
